However, women also held only a small percentage of law firm leadership jobs in 2020. Yesterday I had the great pleasure of facilitating a discussion with a group of women lawyers from all over the US, and even one UK-based lawyer. We talked, essentially, about how things are going. As everyone was sharing their concerns and strategies, I noticed how much commonality there was, regardless of life stage or career path. Everyone is stressed right now, with levels ranging from “this is hard” to “how am I going to get through?”Thank you to everyone who attended and participated so openly and honestly. I am thrilled to share that I was selected to be part of New York City Bar Association's Women in the Legal Profession Committee which focuses on the advancement of women in the legal profession, and addresses issues faced by women in law offices, corporate law departments, the public sector and other legal settings.
